Surrendering Your Bichon Frise

Surrendering your pet is a heartbreaking decision to make. But whatever the reason behind your decision, BFRNNJ is here to help make the transition easier for you and your pet. BFRNNJ is a NO KILL rescue and will work hard to find a loving, permanent home for your pet. Our dogs do not live in cages or stall as dogs in shelters do. All our dogs stay with fosters in homes until a permanent home can be found. We also have all our rescues under the care of a Vet for those with medical issues or those that need to be vaccinated, spayed or neutered. If they are not already microchipped we have them chipped so if they are ever lost their chip info will be traced back to us for immediate recovery.

Click here to download and print our Surrender Form.
Please print the form, fill out the surrender information and return to us via email, mail or fax. We will then contact you to discuss the details. (Please be honest about everything)

There is never a dog we would turn away for any reason other than being vicious, but we need to know all possible issues so we can find the right home for the dog. For instance your dog is not housebroken... that is not a problem for us at all.. but some adopters are willing to take in dogs that are not housebroken and some are not. Therefore we need to know everything so we only consider applications from adopters that are right for your dog.

Please also include any medical records you have, records on shots, check ups, and any other procedures that were done. If you do not have these, please get them from your vet or give us your vet info and we will get it for you.

Most important is to also send us some photos of your pet so we get your dog up on our adoption sites and facebook page for networking.
